Ængelite is the pen name of philologist and former lecturer at the universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Following the 2020 pandemic, she left academia to focus on her passion for writing. Her historical fiction, the Arctica series, begins with The Greenman and continues with Inherit My Skin – books born of years of researching the links between Greenland and Scotland.

She writes accompanied by her golden retriever, who, unlike her characters, much prefers the hearth to the Arctic cold. When she is not editing or drawing, you’ll find her searching for ‘ghost signs’ across town with her family – her perfect excuse to get the children off their phones!
